What the candidate sees
Invitation
This interview will be conducted in English (Australia).
If another language would suit you better, you can ask the recruiter before you begin.
Role overrides
An override beats the workspace default for every candidate invited to that role.
| Role | Client | Language | Set by | Why | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Fleet Scheduling Coordinator | Vertex Logistics | Vietnamese | Neil Morley | Client asked for the yard-based roles to be interviewed in Vietnamese. English is not a requirement of the position description. | |
| Grid Systems Engineer | Latitude Energy | English (Australia) | Workspace default | Written and spoken English is a stated requirement of this role, so it is assessed as its own requirement. |
How language is handled
- The recruiter sets the interview language. There is a workspace default, and it can be overridden for a role or a single invitation.
- A candidate cannot change the language themselves. They can ask for a different one, and the recruiter decides — the request and the decision are recorded on the invitation.
- Questions are asked in the chosen language, including client must-ask questions, which are translated once and then reviewed by the agency before use.
- The assessment stores the original-language answer and the English rendering side by side, so nothing is judged only on a translation.
- Language fluency is never scored unless the role explicitly requires it, in which case it appears as its own requirement.
- Beta languages carry a visible label and require a reviewer to confirm the evidence before the brief is shared with a client.
A per-invitation override is available on the campaign wizard when you send invitations, for the case where one candidate needs a different language from the rest of the shortlist.
